About mods on Starfield, this time seriously

Hello Stopgame!
I am your long -standing viewer and one of those who were very disappointed with your recent video about Starfield modding – and not only because it is a “like a comic video”, saturated with a desire to hibe on hatred for the game (in the contrast to the previous, more serious heading rollers);Not only because of the dubious quality of these jokes and the selection of the mods themselves (in terms of humor you can definitely be better!);but also because the video makes statements that „there is nothing more on the nexus“.

In addition, I saw in the comments to the video a request for a normal selection of mods – and therefore I decided to write a full -fledged guide, which is actually now from the year for this game. I collected this selection from the beginning of the release of the game, but actually, all these mods can be found in a couple of hours of studying the nexus, just finding the “Sorting by Popularity” button.

Half of all Masthev-mods that I will talk about today is on the first pages of sorting by „Endorsments“ (an analogue of likes on Nexus)

Of course, regardless of what is written here, the post is likely to be mined – simply because I am not Haich Starfield, but this is not popular now. In addition, I have no idea what your reaction to this post will be, but to be honest, all this is no longer clear to me.

Otherwise, I will be glad if this post is at least useful to someone, at least in the key to dispeling unsuccessful sarcasm, which is more likely to go to a hack.

Then there will be a lot of text and few jokes and pictures, I warned.

Mod Organizer for dummies

To begin with, we’ll figure out how to put and use Mod Organizer after all

Its official version with Starfield support appeared recently and so far it is beta (but quite working), so it is necessary to download it with GitHub.

Primary setting

Click „Create New Instance“

Choose the type of instance (I recommend Portable)

Choose a game that we will modify (if he does not immediately find the way to it, then you will need to indicate it)

MO offers to simplify our life when working with the main ini -file of the game and other modding settings – we agree

Choose the path with a folder with mods (it is better to put it again on the same disk as the game)

We tie MO to the nexus, or we skip this item

If you were mistaken somewhere in the installation, all this can be turned on/off in the settings. This is how it looks with me.

After starting, we are met by such a window:

1) install the mod: poke on this button to choose the archive from which we will put mods;

2) utilities: there is an ini editor item here, in which we can configure StarfieldCustom.ini (necessary for some mods);

5) a list of launched applications (the game itself and all utilities associated with it). How to add them there – I will tell you a little below;

6) the button for launching the application through the MO – using it, you need to run them only in this way;

7) Various useful tabs, here are the most important:

Plugins – adjust the order of plugins (for Starfield it is not yet very necessary, but in general it is very relevant)

Double click on the installed mod, you can see its structure – including to open these files on the disk (Open in Explorer), or make Mo ignore them to avoid conflicts (hide). This will be needed to install some mods

About modes of mods and how to put them

Ordinary mods – are placed through the Moscow Region, there are no surprises. Sometimes they contain their own Ini file for configuration;

Modes with teams in StarfieldCustom.ini – contain the settings that need to be entered straight to StarfieldCustom.ini. Just read the description and copy the necessary lines to the file; .

A little disclaimers before the selection itself

Disclaimer number 2: In this collection, he designated only the most necessary, mainly gameplay mods. In addition to these mods, there are already quite a lot of retakers and improvements to the basic asses on the nexus, but I have not yet buried in it – so there are very few of them here.

Disclaimer number 3: We will mainly talk about gameplay, so there will be few funny and beautiful pictures, but there will be a lot of text.

Masthev-fashion and patches

Utilities and resources

Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) – script expander, necessary for most gameplay mods

Address Library for SFSE Plugins – a library for the above -mentioned fashion, is needed for some mods using it

Plugins.TXT ENABLER-Changes the method of downloading the Plugin game (ESP and ESM files) to a more stable and convenient. Needed for most mods that use them.

Plugins txt Manager – simplifies work with the previous mod to a pair of clicks in mo.

It is necessary to put as a separate application for launching through the Moscow Region, and here’s how to do it:

In the drop -down list of applications, click on „Edit..“

Poking on a plus, select „Add from File“ and indicate the path to the file. Ready!

When starting Plugins Txt Manager, this window will meet us. You need to make sure that all the necessary plugins are activated, and then click „Save“. This must be done with each change in the plug -in list

Fixes, patches, optimization

Baka Achievement Enabler – will not work with Achivka mods in the game, this mod is fixed

BAKA DISABLE My Games Folder-fixing a new system for installing mods for the game (the same one, because of which I had to put all the files in different folders). Note for installation

Disk Cache Enabler (optionally) – improves the system of work with the disk. The game works normally with him even on HDD. On the SSD it seems not so useful, but it will not be superfluous

Weapon Swap Stuttering Fix – a game gaming bug with rings when changing weapons

Starfield Community Patch – a set of Bugfixes for the game (by analogy with UNOFFICIL Patchi for past gazebo games)

Starfield Performance Optimizations – optimization of settings for weak PCs (graphics in places can become a little worse, but the game works many times faster).
Note for installation

Gameplay

Simple improvements of gameplay

Gameplay Tweaks and Fixes (Txt-model) is a global Goldengeniecasino.uk improvement in the game balance, which makes the game more complex, but also in places less stuffy (for example, enemies cease to be so fatty on CP-as well as a player)

IMPROVED COMBAT AI (TXT-model)-improves enemies

REWARDING Activities (TXT-mod)-improves rewards on experience for various activity (in particular, for studying planets)

Longer Corpse Despawn (TXT-MOD)-by default in the game, the corpses are very quickly slipped if there are a lot of them. This mod is fixed

Responsive Grabbing – allows you to grab objects more conveniently than in the basic game. It is put in StarfieldCustom.ini

Improvement of the scanner

Fullscran – increases the area on the screen in which objects are highlighted. It is put in StarfieldCustom.ini

Recolored Scanner Outlines – editing the colors of illuminated objects to better distinguish between different types of them. Fuck at StarfieldCustom.ini.

If you do not like basic colors, then you can tinker, you can configure your own colors and a backlight density

Hand Scanner Utility (Txt-model)-increases scanning range (both basic and when pumping). Note for installation

New opportunities and improvements to the mechanic

Craftable Ammo and Utilities Updated – allows you to crawl the consumption (cartridges, meals, grenades)

Legendary Module Recycler – allows you to shoot modules from legendar and create your own legends;Unlike analogues, does not break the balance

Deslation Poi Overhaul – makes spider points of interest more logical (including temples and artifacts)

Deadly Hazards – makes dangerous conditions on the planets really dangerous, and builds a more interesting gameplay around this. No more imposing walks on the moon with temperatures close to absolute zero). Also adds real oxygen mechanics (now it is not just our Stamin), deepens the character injury system. Note for installation

Functional SHIP Infirmaries-makes a cup on the ship functional, which is well combined with the previous mod

Starvival-adds the need for food-wards and abstract, even more deepens the injury system

Summoning of SHIP – allows you to recall and call the ship being on the planet

SHIP HUD Tweaks – improve the control of the ship

Improving the economy and trade

SSEO – Settled Systems Economy Overhaul – improves the economy of the game. For example, it is more difficult for steep pieces like upgrades of ships;Resources are more expensive (t.e. It makes sense to collect them on your own, and not stupidly buy up in stores)

SSEO – Outpost Investor – the same, but it works with the costs and benefits of building outposts. Now their construction is not so thoughtless and more rewarding

Starfield Vanilla Expanded – Better Rewards – increases orders for orders, which is well combined with previous mods

Variable Contraband PRICES – improves the benefits from smuggling, paying off the risks associated with it

Interface

General improvements in the interface

Undelaed Menus – removes the delay when opening the menu

Starui modes (Starui Inventory, Starui Hud, Starui Outpost, Starui Workbench, Starui Ship Builder) – improve the majority of the game menu and make them more conveniently. At least the first two are recommended for installation.

Starui configurator -allows you to configure all mods from the Staru series without digging in ini files. Note for installation

Improving HUD player

Enhanced Player Healthbar – now depending on the player’s hp, his hpbar will be different

Scanner Encunbrance Display with Time – shows the player’s loading in the scanner. And our watch is now finally showing time!

BetterHud (version of Sneak Peek 0.2.2) – many improvements of the player’s interface aimed at more immersion. In the base removes pop -up alerts down;Optionally, you can turn off the hp bars of enemies, crosshairs, notification of experience;Subtle configure what will be displayed on the compass and t. p.

Hud fashion in places conflict among themselves, and for everything to work together, I recommend this procedure for arranging mods and patches for them

No XP SoundEffect (optionally) – If a notification of gaining experience in the previous fashion was cut off, then this mod will remove sound alerts too

Graphics

General improvements in graphics

Luma (and the Starfield Shader Injector necessary for him) – adds HDR (for all systems, and not only for Win11 as in a fresh patch) and sliders for setting up all so hated filters in the game

Real Water HD – From the entire basic graphics of Starfield, the obsolete shader of water cuts the eyes most of all. This mod improves it

Eyebrows Redone – improved eyebrows for NPC and player

Improving the NPC crowd

Savernx HD Crowd Optimizer – improves the appearance of the NPC crowd

Stop Staring at Me-Less NPC Headtracking (Txt-model)-NPC crowds will now look at the player less.

What, and that’s all?

The list presented above is the tip of the iceberg, the best of the best that I selected for my assembly.

In addition, I try not to put mods that are significant (albeit in the spirit of the game) change game assets;They add something, but break the balance;or add steep, but uncomfortable gameplay changes. And I also did not grind in mods with textures, since the basic visual of the game suits me.

But this does not mean that there are no such mods at all, so here is a brief summary of what is still on Nexus:

A huge number of mods for changing and finalizing persons, hairstyles, facial features – a player, the main NPCs, as well as alternative versions of mods on the NPC of the crowd;

A lot of mods for new laior clothes/spacesuits;mods for revision/processing of the appearance of weapons and equipment;NPC processing mods

Content mods for outposts and ships – there are already quite a lot of mods for additional.Buildings, and custom modules on ships have also appeared recently;

A lot of mods for a fine finalization of gameplay;The list above is a minimalistic set of only the most necessary. Although the global alterations before Creation Kit should not be expected – so far these are very local additives and fixes of the parameters of the game;

Fashion for traveling in space at an accelerated time (Ala No Man’s Sky, Elite Dangerous) – so far unbalanced and not very necessary, but the potential is to realize this normally with the advent of CK. And there, even to fully working systems, nearby;

Absuscular Rofl mods-they feel like a little. If for you modding, it is only to change the GG model to CJ, and everywhere to put on the steam locomotives of Thomas and Speks – then you are not here (at least for now);

And also, of course, tons of NFSW mods, this is probably somewhere half of the nexus now-however, this is true for any game that is amenable to modding

Will this be enough to fix the Starfield completely? Of course, not – but the idea that “there are no normal mods now and will be only two years later” I think at the fundamentally wrong.

I’ll say to all lovers of a lot of fans that the modders will abandon the game before Creation Kit-they already realize many things for which it is needed in a good way and do not plan to slow down) with its appearance, we can expect much more ambitious modifications, including so expected by the community.

The best comments

I propose to familiarize!

A lot of useful links. Plus. Good blog, thanks.

Thank you! From these authors, several mods are already in the article, but having opened profiles, I dragged a few more)

On the topic of the approach – there is still such a moment that Tosty knew how to joke these stupid jokes so that it was ridiculous (well, Maxim perfectly complemented it in this). Just like that, you can’t copy such an approach with a screech – you need to either be able, or carefully think about why it is funny.

In particular, if we talk about that specific stream:
– then on Skyrim, then there really was more absurd modifications (simply because his tone is not so serious, and he would better dispose of Tresh);
– There were different times and it was new (we and the goat and we then laughed at our ourselves);
– solved the charisma of Tosty and his reputation as a person who, in any game (or even VGA broadcasts), can entertain you with an absurd tresh;
– The expectations of the audience (that it will be a tresh Friday stream, and not a serious video on the main one – in fact, as you said).

Yes Xedit for a month is ready, the main tool, and without it, modding is complicated.

Also, these two mods of the author are good, Ixion and WSKEEVER, the last many fixes for Skyrim produced.

The professional creators of DLC mods already taught by Skyrim and F4 will make an interesting plot.

And the approach of Llyashi and Rifov is extremely frozen and poorly, as if Hyde, and as a result, something from the beginning of the last decade, where the path with the bald rode rode along the jungle of Skyrim on the Volga purely to pierce.

But these were streams for the cups, and this video, and given the previous videos from the category, should be more serious.

Thank you! Perhaps I really got very carried away with them)

At first I tried to write without them, and in my opinion there were very large blocks of text, which were difficult to read (especially in places where the installation of specific mods was explained). But then I decided to add some of my optional thoughts to the text in this way, and, perhaps, went too far. I will take into account the future)

Now, if there was a video on SG with all these mods, in an attempt to make something more sane from Starfield, then he would be much more interesting for me. Let me not be going to play it, but it is curious how you can transform this game. But on the SG they decided everything differently and I watched the vidos with great difficulty. It was cringe, not funny and banal boring.

It is doubtful that mods correcting roughness will be able to make something “more sane” from the game.

There is still such a moment that everyone has their own understanding that it is “more sane” from itself.

Personally, in the basic game, I do not primarily suit me:
– balance of fights and economics;
– insufficient depth of systems;
– insufficiently interesting exploring due to the mean variability of the points of interest without random generation;
– a small variety of biomes in the framework of one planet, their small variability in the landscape;
– lack of transport;
– Lack of interesting flights in space – so that you can fly from planet to planet, meet space events, stations and random enncaunters.
(of course, not the whole list, but this is the main one)

The first two points have already been featured/they work on them, but for the rest the truth is already needed (and IMHO, if they want, the modders will be able to fix it all).

If you, for example, expect the plot and dialogs of the BG3 level from the game (which the gazebo never had and will never have) – then you really can not wait. In general, it all depends on the expectations, as always.

I support, everyone has its own vision of the problems of this game, but I do not agree that something depends on the expectations. It seems to me personally that the impressive failed in the performance of her own vision of the “ideal” Starfield, did not squeeze some systems, others did not bring to mind, but somewhere it stumbled and hit her face in the mud. Different patches in the form of mods to different painful points, of course, smooth out the situation, but it is unlikely that it will once correct it. If only some craftsmen do not light up their eyes and there is no enough time for any total conversion, for example, like Enderal. But something tells me that this is not the case

The blog is good, but too many footsteps. Moreover, in most cases, they could be avoided by simply writing a thought through a comma

Well, in such a Starfield you can play

I’m even more disappointing for me that they broadcast this attitude to their entire audience, including people who do not understand the topic (but they are ready to believe the word to the author from their favorite site, that he “looked through all 5 thousand modes and did not find anything normal”). For me, so it is necessary to relate to this.

Well, as for Starfield-of course, time will show, but for me, with the release of the necessary mods, he has the potential to become a year or two new cyberpancomes (T.e. a large -scale play on the hearing that most players love, but tactfully silence all the dirt that was poured on it on the release). I would like to see how then the attitude of the editorial office to the game will change))

An excellent article, this should be in a hat, and not there

Well, we are waiting for a response topic where a person will tell how he is disappointed with this topic and finally explain about the very mods that everyone is actually waiting. If you understand what I mean.

The article is excellent, and the video reminded:
“Corporal Schnobbs,” he gritted, whispering, “why are you kicking bedridden?
“So it is safer,” Schnobbs answered honestly.

Here only time will tell) thanks for the thoughtful answer)

The list is good, it would be interesting to play a game with all these mods, then I probably would not have dropped in a few hours.

But if the game needs to roll 10-20 mods to play as it should originally, then this is an ass. Skyrim and Follaut are interesting to play from 0 mods, there is a strong base, but here it. And I doubt that the gazebo will introduce all these improvements to the game, rather will leave the moders.

Thank you. The editorial office of Stopgim has such a clown attitude to Starfield that they are even sorry.

I agree that this time the gazebo broke the main feature of her games – a world that is interesting to explore.

As for the rest-it is subjective, but IMHO is all so broken as much as in all of their other games)) Therefore, in terms of mods, I personally did not have any excellent sensations from Skyrim and Folych-I still felt on Oblivion how much better some systems can be made by simple mods)

In the same vanilla Skyrim on the release, I played 50-70 hours, pumped myself a dunmer of the level 50, which was baked with a two-handed man and felt that I was not enough modding for at least some depth of the game. And since then I have been playing it only with mods)

Folych 4 was originally uninteresting to me, so I didn’t really fall into it (the logic in the spirit of “I will still drop this game as a plot, therefore it makes no sense to fall in mods”), but even quickly I realized that I could not do without some critical mods (I remember that I put mods for optimization, on the improved contrast and more dark nights;settlements;.

So Starfield in this regard has not become something out of the ordinary. Unless of course, now I already felt that still the sensations from the study are not the same:/

But I can understand the people who used to be arranged by vanilla versions of their games, but here it did not grow together – probably this also has a place to be.
