Talking about Elex without looking at the previous projects of the Piranha Bytes studio will not work. EXILS could be used as a source of energy for all possible technology and gadgets or to take “inside” as a stimulator that makes a person stronger, faster, smarter, and also with the help of this substance it was possible to subordinate natural elements, such as fire, water, earth and air. That is, use magic. In this regard, in the expanses of Magalan, we can observe the fight of the magician in a rag robe, throwing enemies with fire balls and, say, stuck in a high -tech branch of the attack aircraft, pouring with lines of plasma rifle.
Thus, ELEX is a set of science fiction, Skyfay, and classical fantasy. A similar symbiosis in games does not occur often. And it pleases. The player is offered something fresh that has not yet managed to fill in. A striking example of such a setting can be called Arcanum 2001. It is too early to talk about how strong or weak the plot will be. We will be able to find out about this only after the release. However, a couple of curious details are already known now.
